We place one kind of engineer.
epicX used to supply many kinds of developer. Now we place only forward deployed engineers, because the hardest thing for a startup to find is someone who can work out what to build and then ship it.
What we do, and what we don’t.
A company hires an engineer from epicX at a monthly rate. That company directs the engineer and owns the result.
We own the vetting, the match and any replacement. We also handle the engineer’s contract, salary payments, and local tax and employment rules in their country.
We don’t sell projects, we don’t take over delivery, and we don’t review the engineer’s work. If that’s what you need, we’ll say so on the first call.

The bar.
About 50 engineers meet it today, in Pakistan and South Africa. We check it through live technical interviews, real-world simulations and communication checks.

From engineer to founder.
I’m Hassan Azhar Khan. I started as a software engineer in 2015 and founded epicX in 2023.
At TPL Corp I led a small team and built the health and life insurance systems the insurer still runs today. TPL Corp is also where I worked on Raast, Pakistan’s national instant payment system.
At 10Pearls I became a principal engineer on the platform team for Hobsons and then PowerSchool, where I built the tooling that brings each school’s data into one education platform.
I also contributed to Rosa in Belgium and Vori Health in the United States as a software engineer, and I built Counterweight’s patient portal.
A founder takes every first call at epicX. I also run Keytomic, an AI SEO tool. It’s my own company, so it isn’t listed here as a customer.
